Sunday Notes: Dec. 3, 2017—We pray for peace in Iraq & World
1– Tuesday: Funeral Mass for Elsha Yousif 12:00PM in Gilbert.
2– Saturday after the 6:30 PM Arabic Mass is the Memorial of 7th for Faris Kassab. His daughter Valarita & his son Vino, aunt Salima Daiza will accept condolences at the Mar Abraham Hall.
3– Parish Festival in numbers: Gross: $48,301; Exp.: 14,013; Net.: $34,288. We thank the committee who worked hard especially Dina Mati and all the volunteers and donors.
4– Sunday Nov. 26 we raffled the Last Supper portrait, the winner was Mr. Alvin Putrus Hannona. He donated back to the church projects. We thank him and his family for their generosity and thank everyone who had tickets to support the church, we sent $10,000 for the Iraqi Christians from the portrait.
5– Thursday: Dec. 7th at 6:00PM Vigil Mass for feast of Virgin Mary “Immaculate Conception” at Mar Abraham, followed by Rosary and Parish Council meeting. (day of Fasting).
6– Friday: Dec. 8th Mass at 6:00P.M. then Rosary for the feast of Virgin Mary “Immaculate Conception” at Holy Family-Phoenix.
7– We urge our families to correct their addresses before we send out Christmas Cards.
8– Saturday Dec. 9: will have Bible workshop for Christmas at Mar Abraham from 12:30PM-5:30PM for kids age 7-12. registration by Manal Salim after Mass: $5 per child.
9– New Years Church Dinner Banquet: Dec. 31st. At Roman Palace Hall in Phoenix (Northern & 43 Ave). With singer Rafi Kamal from San Diego. Tickets pre sale $50 per person, $25 per children 12 & under, 3 & under FREE (it will increase at the door) tickets available by the parish council.
10– CHURCH: we found a church for sale in Phoenix (near HYY I 17 & 101). Built in 2006. 5 Acres land. For $3,5 Mil. Church 450+ ppl. Hall 240+ ppl. Fellowship 30 ppl. 6 classrooms. 5 offices. 1.5 Acre– Empty land. 174 Parking (Zoned Commercial). We visited the site, informed our new bishop and he is supporting it, discussed the matter with the parish council and put an offer. Pray for the intention that we will be able to have it.
